TOPi® Oslo Release Notes 2025-10

TOPi® Oslo 2025.10 is a more versatile and flexible toolkit, with many technical improvements to extend the product lifecycle. Security features, performance, reliability, and maintainability have been improved. Several application libraries have been updated and unused parts of the code have been removed. TOPi® compatibility with PostgreSQL 17 and Timescale 2.20.3 verified. For example, the Calculations application User Interface refactored and many enhancements implemented in order to get better user experience with TimescaleDB related calculations. Improvements have been made to the Report, ProView applications, and several other applications as well, to make daily work smoother.

  • Maximum input length enforced in multiple text inputs (e.g. Dashboard title, user management UI)
  • Use Inter font where applicable

Authentication

• Removed support for Basic authentication: The solution should be used with AD, OAuth, Digest, or login form authentication.
• Removed support for /servicelogin endpoint for third party services: The endpoint is deprecated and removed.

Calculations

• Parameter viewer improvement (LA004660-4605)
• Calculation parameter filtering and import (LA004660-4824)
  • Implemented an import feature for calculation parameters, improved calculation parameter filtering.
• Fixed UI bug where the status column dropdown was incorrectly displayed on top of dialogs (LA004660-4978).
• Resolved issue where the parameter filter in the Search Parameters dialog did not reset correctly after an empty result (LA004660-4974).
• Fixed error when clicking the info icon in the calculation UI, which previously caused the interface to break (LA004660-4970).
• Fix timezone setting in calculation (LA004660-4983): Fixed an issue where the timezone setting in calculations was not applied correctly, replaced with dropdown.
• Expanded filtering to check value in tag name column (LA004660-5010): Users can now filter calculations by match items where the search term appears in either the name or variable fields, making it easier to find parameters by variable name or tag name.
• Add timeseries-based filter to Search parameters dialog (LA004660-4768):     A new timeseries-based filter to the "Search parameters" dialog, allowing users to filter both columns (scenarios) and rows (parameters) based on tag names in each cell.
• Calculations application UI refactored and aligned with TOPi® design.

Dashboard

• Too long description prevented: Too long description generated error message. Now entering too long description is prevented.
• Support for arbitrary colors in range effect editor (LA004660-4403)

Report

• Support for Pie charts visualization (LA004660-4645)
  • Introduced Pie chart support in the reporting module, enabling users to visualize categorical data more intuitively.
• Occurrence timestamp for columns aggregated with min or max function (LA004660-4641)
  • Added the ability to display the timestamp of the earliest or latest occurrence when using min/max aggregations in reports.
• Report: Data fetching in parallel instead of one column at a time (LA004660-4892)
  • Optimized report performance by enabling parallel data fetching, significantly reducing load times for large datasets.
• Support report variable paste as CSV (LA004660-4969): This feature allows users to rapidly add variables to a report as a CSV list.
• Support table column resize from report builder (LA004660-4969): Users can now resize table columns directly from the report builder interface.
• Hide header bar when no headers configured (LA004660-4721)
• Large report data warning can be disabled (LA004660-4969): Users can now disable the large report data warning in the personal settings.
• Fixed issue with report variable indexing when editing the report (LA004660-4959): Report variable order can now be edited and graph visualization is synced properly.
